No incriminating evidence against Pune girl, J&K police dismissed the case as ‘hoax’

Srinagar: J&K police had released the Pune girl who was detained on January 25 suspecting her to be a suicide bomber. Intelligence inputs alerted about a potential bomb explosion on Republic day.

But the police had misinterpreted the intelligence inputs given by the central intelligence agencies and detained the Pune girl who visited J&K to marry J&K boy who met her on social media.

The Police had released the girl now and dismissed the case against her as ‘hoax’.

She was almost questioned for 10 days and the police did not find any incriminating evidence against her.

A senior Police officer had said that “Whatever was alleged against her proved to be a hoax and she was allowed to leave.”
