Northern Ireland: Persons in “Ku Klux Klan” costumes seen outside Islamic Center, photos go viral

Ireland: Northern Ireland Police is investigating the incident wherein a group of persons was seen in “Ku Klux Klan” costumes. The crime is being considered as “hate crime”.

According to the report published in Belfast Telegraph Digital, photos of persons outside an Islamic Center, Newtownards went viral.

This incident was reported at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Giving the details of the case, Inspector Richard Murray said that police is treating it as “hate crime” and the investigation is going on.

After photos went viral, many people started expressing their anger and demanded police to investigate the incident.

Strangford Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong termed the photographs as “unacceptable”.

It may be mentioned that the “Ku Klux Klan” is a racist group which was established by white supremacists in the United States of America.
