Nowhera Shaikh Case: Advocate alleges Asaduddin Owaisi for spreading false propaganda

Hyderabad: The petition of CCS Police for giving MD of Heera Gold Group and President of All India Mahila Empowerment Party, Dr. Nowhera Shaikh in police custody was heard in the court and the arguments were completed. The judge reserved the verdict till 24th October.

During the arguments, the judge observed that FIR has been registered under Depositors’ Act whereas Heera Gold group is registered under the Registrar of Companies Act. The advocate of Nowhera informed the court that the action taken by the police is based on political vendetta. He also said that it is a conspiracy hatched against Nowhera to prevent her from participating in the next Assembly elections.

The turmoil was created among the depositors as a result of false propaganda made by MIM President, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, Advocate said.

The Advocate further told that hundreds of investors still have faith in Heera Gold Group. As the result of this false propaganda, their rights could get affected.

The advocate of Nowhera Shaikh opposed giving her in police custody. He pointed out that in 2012 also, a similar FIR was registered in which Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi is the complainant. In that case, police failed to prove Nowhera Shaikh guilty.

Govt. Pleader requested the court to give the accused in police custody for 10 days to enable the police to carry out further investigations as the said group has not paid profit to the investors for the past few months.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the judge reserved his verdict till 24th October.
