Opposition demands hospital videos of Jayalalithaa be made public

CHENNAI: Amid of the doubts raised by the justic Vaidhyanathan of Madras High Court on the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, various leaders of Tamil Nadu are seeking her medical reports.

The judge said that the public has the right to know what happened to their beloved chief minister and that since she has passed away, anyone can raise a question if they find the death suspicious.

DMK Treasurer M K Stalin on Friday sought a comprehensive probe by a sitting HC judge into her death.

He said.“A comprehensive probe must be done by a sitting judge of the High Court and people should be told the truth.”
He also said that there was no statement from the government ever since she was admitted to the hospital on September 22 and her death was declared by the hospital and not by the government authorities.

DMK leader Vijaykanth also stated that the video footage from inside the hospital should be made public so that doubts could be cleared.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on 22 September. She breathed her last at 11:30 pm on 5 December.
