Opposition parties can’t take on TRS: Lakshma Reddy

Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said the that grand alliance formed by the Opposition parties cannot take on the might of the TRS president and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said the Congress was having a tie-up with its rival Telugu Desam and other parties also joining hands. This is an unethical alliance and the TRS will sweep the elections to get back to power.

At the Urukuonda MV Gardens in Mahabubnagar district, he gave away cheques to Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak beneficiaries for performing marriage of their girls. The beneficiaries include 76 in Urukondapet and 60 in Midjil villages.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshma Reddy ridiculed the marriage of convenience between the Congress and the TDP forging an alliance which will prove futile in the forthcoming elections. They cannot get public support and the TRS will win more than 100 seats, Lakshma Reddy said. He also claimed that no other State in the country has launched welfare schemes like Telangana State. Like an elder brother in a family, KCR has been offering prestigious scheme for providing help to the poor and middle class people to perform marriage. The TRS Government has been offering Rs 1.16 lakh towards marriage and most of the poor are being benefited, he said.
MP Jithender Reddy, who was present said the TRS will retain power as the people are happy with welfare schemes. MLA Srinivas Goud said 14 Assembly seats in Mahabubnagar district will be won by the ruling party. The grand alliance cannot face the TRS in the fray, he said.
