Pakadua Vivah: Engineer kidnapped, forced to marry at gunpoint in Bihar

Mokama: A video footage of 29-year-old engineer allegedly kidnapped and forced to marry a woman at gunpoint has gone viral on social media platforms.

The incident happened on 3rd December in Patna’s Pandarak area in Bihar.

Vinod works as an executive engineer in a Bokaro steel plant and had gone to attend a friend’s marriage in Islampur when he was abducted for ‘pakdua shaadi’.

The video footage from the wedding shows the young engineer Vinod Kumar, dressed as a groom, being thrashed and forced to perform wedding rituals.

It can be seen in the video that a group of women, allegedly from the woman’s family, try to convince him to cooperate as he begs to be released.

“We are only performing your wedding, not hanging you,” bride’s relatives are heard saying in the video.
