Pakistan looking for options to resume peace talks with India

Islamabad: In order to revive the severed diplomacy relations and to resume peace talks with India the Pakistan government is considering to appoint a national security advisor said the sources.

The two nuclear armed countries have severed peace talks after a various chain of events.

Pakistan PM Imran Khan had reached out to India several times to resume peace talks n all outstanding issues between the two nations.

The NSA’s appointment will likely revive the backchannel diplomacy with India an attempt to sort out some of the pressing issues between the two nations said official sources privy to the new developments.

Certain names are under consideration and it is highly likely that a retired military official is appointed as the NSA.

With elections phase now over in India, Pakistan is considering options on resuming the peace talks with India.

Previously the two nations in the past often used backchannel through the NSAs to prepare the ground for any talks.
