Bhopal: In a village of Bhind District, Madhya Pradesh, a calf got killed accidentally by a 55-year-old woman when she tried to pull it.

According to the report published in NDTV, after this incident, the village panchayat ordered her to beg for a week and then use that money to visit Ganga for taking a dip in it as a penance.

It may be mentioned that on 31st August, a woman, Kamlesh pulled a calf from its mother. However, accidentally, the rope got entangled in its neck which resulted in the death of the calf.

While passing the order, local panchayat warned her that if the order is not complied with, she would face social boycott for life.

Her son, Anil Shrivas told that she is facing 7 days social boycott now. He further said that nobody raised an objection to the order due to fear.

It is also reported that Kamlesh begged for money every day till she was admitted in hospital after she fell ill. She got discharged on 3rd September, her son added.

Meanwhile, Panchayat Chief, Shambu Shrivas denied issuing any such order and said that she decided to undergo penance on her own.

Commenting on this police said that they would take action once they receive the complaint. Till now, no police case has been registered.
