The all party meeting, held here on Monday to protest the government’s alleged highhandedness towards farmers and oustees of Mallannasagar project, held the government squarely responsible for the violent incidents at Erravalli village.
Speaking on the occasion, CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy lashed out at the government saying that the government was using force to silence the farmers to go ahead with its proposed project.
The state government always holds opposition responsible for every wrong in the state. This is a strategy by the government to evade responsibility. Experts’ advice should have been take before taking up the project, the CPI leader said. He also demanded the government to squash the cases filed against the protestors of the project. (INN)
