Washington: Chilean actress Paulina García, who has won a Silver Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival for Sebastian Lelio’s 2013 film ‘Gloria’, is all set to star in the second feature of Pepa San Martín’s, ‘Happiness.’
Produced by Macarena Lopez, the project will be pitched at the 7th Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum of Spain’s San Sebastian Film Festival, confirmed Variety.
The feature will follow the lives of Ana and Teresa, two childhood friends, now in their sixties, who regularly spend weekends together. The story takes a turn when Teresa opposes Ana’s intentions about not getting treatment for her illness.
The screenplay is written by Alicia Scherson, one of Chile’s foremost women directors, and Luz Croxatto and San Martín.
