PM Modi, CM Raje responsible for youths’ suicide: Rahul

Bhilwara: Congress president Rahul Gandhi, while addressing an election rally here on Saturday, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for allegedly doing nothing to guarantee employment for youths due to which they were forced to commit suicide.

“Four youths in Rajasthan have committed suicide collectively because they had no employment. Their suicide is a message to both Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Raje that they have failed in providing employment to the youths due to which they are forced to end their lives,” said Gandhi.

Gandhi said that if the Congress party comes to power in the state, then apart from waiving off farmers’ loan, “our government will also establish food processing plants close to their farmlands, thus connecting farmers and their lands with the world economy.”

“Soya-bean oil processing plant would be established close to the land or area where soya-bean is produced. Similarly, ketchup plant and chips factories would be established close to the land where tomatoes and potatoes are being produced,” said Rahul.

“Our Prime Minister Modi only talks about his ‘Mann-Ki-Baat’ but he doesn’t listen to ‘Mann-Ki Baat’ of youths,” said Rahul. Stressing that unemployment is a mammoth problem both Rajasthan and nation are facing under today. He compared the rate of employment in India with that of China asserting that the former was doing abysmally bad.

“China gives employment to 50,000 youths in 24 hours while we in 24 hours give employment to only 420 youths across the country,” said Gandhi, adding that ‘demonetisation’ was only meant to benefit big businessmen and was a ‘loot’ of hard earned money of common citizens.

“The youths are the future of our nation but banks have given no loans to them. Rather money deposited by common men and women at the time of demonetisation was given to Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and so on, who have left the country,” said Rahul.

The single-phase 200-member Rajasthan legislative assembly elections are due on December 7. The counting of votes will take place on December 11.
