Hyderabad: Task Force of Hyderabad City Police has been taking stern action against the gamblers in the city. It raided two places on Monday and arrested 21 gamblers.
In CIB Quarters at Saifabad, a gambling center was being run. Police raided it and arrested 9 persons. They reported that Mario Anthony, a real estate trader had locked his house from outside and was running gambling racket inside the house. On receiving a tip, Task Force Police team raided the house and seized Rs. 31000 cash and other articles.
In another raid, Task Force officials arrested 12 persons from a house at Narayanguda. Police reported that J. Prakash (29), a tea stall vendor had hired a house in Narayanguda for using it as a gambling center. Police raided the house and seized Rs. 35000 cash and other articles. The arrested persons were handed over to Saifabad Police Station for taking further action.
