Hyderabad: An Inspector of Police attached to Women’s Police Station at Mancherial Headquarters was suspended on the complaint made by a woman that he was harassing her.
DGP of Kareem Nagar Range, Mr. Ravi Verma took this action on the complaint made by the woman. Speaking to the media persons, Mr. Verma said the woman had approached the police station complaining against her husband. The inspector of police took her mobile phone number under the pretext of counseling. Later, he started sending objectionable messages to her.
The woman approached the higher officials of the police. Investigations revealed that the inspector was involved in harassing her. He was therefore suspended.
