Ponguleti slams CM for shifting IAS officers on local MLAs’ pressure

Charging the State government with needlessly transferring IAS officials succumbing to the pressure of ruling party leaders, CLP Deputy Leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy today alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given ‘transfer gift’ to honest IAS officers, who had obstructed irregularities of the ruling party MLAs.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday at Assembly media point, Ponguleti said the State government transferred Collectors of Jangaon and Mahabubabad Districtd – Devasena and Preethi Meena respectively for checking irregularities of the local MLAs.

Targeting Power Minister G Jagdeesh Reddy, Ponguleti said the former had criticized the Congress party for giving power-point presentation on power situation in the State. The minister was speaking ruthlessly sans moral values. Demanding that the State government provide succour to farmers, Ponguleti asked the government to convene an all-party meeting to discuss agriculture and power issues. Urging the government to convene all-party meeting before commencement of next Assembly session, Ponguleti asked the government to spell its stand on Centre’s proposed MASS scheme.
