Pulwama terror attack: Here’s what former IAS officer Shah Faesal tweets

SRINAGAR: Former IAS officer turned politician Shah Faesal said that there is Karbala everyday in Kashmir.

His comment came following an attack on CRPF convoy from a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group.

Faesal took to his twitter account and wrote, “There is a Karbala every day in Kashmir. One side mourns today and another mourns tomorrow. But those who can stop this war are not moved at all. Nothing seems to be pricking the conscience of those powers who can stop this bloodshed in Kashmir. Nothing.” he tweeted.

Faisal, a native of Kashmir, was on Friday supposed to deliver a lecture on the Kashmir-centric theme “Way Forward” organised by a think-tank “Centre for Policy Research”.

However, in the backdrop of the Pulwama terror attack, he dropped the idea of being a speaker and instead a panel discussion was organised in which Faesal was also included.

Faisal, who had resigned from All India Administrative Service expressed his deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved one.

“Kashmir is more like a high altitude graveyard. It’s about 7 million people waiting to die. There are killings of all nature. It’s difficult for us to condemn what kind of violence need to be condemned,” said Faesal while delivering the lecture.

On Thursday, a suicide bomber from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy killing at least 40 personnel so far and leaving many critically wounded.
