Rains Lash Capital, Rains in Both telugu states predicted for Five Days

Normal life was affected in many parts of the capital, as moderate to heavy rain lashed the city Monday afternoon.

The Indian Meteorological Department predicted that rains are going to lash the two Telugu states for another five days.

       

The heavy rains resulted in traffic snarls at several localities in the city. Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Mehdipatnam, Hitech City, SR Nagar, Neredmet, Tarnaka, Uppal, Malakpet, and several areas in Secunderabad received heavy rain.

Low lying areas in many localities were flooded due to the rains. Metro Rail works were suspended at some of the locations which were lashed by rains. Traffic was moving at a snail’s pace at Malakpet,  Kukatpally, Miyapur along the Lingapally and BHEL stretch.(NSS)
