Rajasthan BJP Chief’s history blooper, ‘Humayun asked Babur to respect cows’

Jaipur: This is not the first time that a saffron party leader has got history facts wrong, this time Rajasthan BJP Chief Madan Lal Saini was trolled after he said Humayun told Babur to respect cows if he wanted to rule India.

Unfortunately, the senior BJP leader was caught on camera with his statement confusing the father with the son. Speaking to reporters at the BJP state headquarters said: I recall that when Humayun was on the deathbed, he called Babur and told him that he should respect cows, Brahmins and women if he wanted to rule Hindustan.

Babur was Humayun’s father and not the other way around. The reports were seeking Saini’s comments on the recent lynching of Akbar Khan and this is what he said regarding the cow lynching.

He said even during Mughal rule there was a ban on cow slaughter. Speaking about Akbar, he said, he was involved in a cow smuggling case. Whatever happened was unfortunate. We live in a democracy which is run by laws, so taking the law into one’s hands is not acceptable, Saini said.

Only criticizing the crime will not bring in a change looking at all the past lynching across India.

Muslims should stop smuggling cow and respect the sentiments of Hindus said Rajasthan Labour Minister Jaswant Yadav.

While BJP legislator Banwari Lal Singhal accused the victim community of being involved in crime in Alwar district.

Well, only criticizing the crime will not bring in a change looking at all the past lynching across India.
