Hyderabad: CPM MP (Rajya Sabha) Mohammed Salim urged Arab and Islamic countries to stand up for Palestinian people and foil US plan to shift its embassy to Jerusalem. Mohammed Salim attended the world conference held in Ramallah in Palestine. Ministry of Awqaf government of Palestine organised the conference. Mohammed Saleem was among the delegation of representative personalities of India. Israeli authorities stopped him at the border of Jordon. Later he was given permission as MP having a diplomatic passport while other persons were returned from the border.
Speaking to Siasat Mohammed Salim briefed about his Palestinian visit. He expressed concern over growing ties between India and Israel. He told that Israeli defence ministry stopped the delegation at the Jordan border saying that the conference is illegal.
