Hyderabad: Special Sale Counters which are normally erected in marriage halls during Ramadan will be come under the scanner of GST, Police and GHMC.
The Departments of IT, Customs and Commercial Taxes will have an eye on special sale counters. It is a common practice that bills are not issued for such sales thereby avoiding taxes. The marriage hall owners will have to pay GST for allotting space to such sale counters.
The officials of GHMC opined that for organizing such sales, permissions from electricity, fire departments and police are essential. After producing these permissions, GHMC will issue license for such sales.
