Lucknow: After objection by some saints, the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, a sub organisation of RSS cancelled the grand namaz and Quran recitation session on the banks of Saryu River in Ayodhya scheduled for Thursday.
Muslim Rashtriya Manch leader Shabana Azmi told that the programme which aimed at bolstering the unity between the two communities has been shifted to another place as few people had reservations against it.
The programme was cancelled after some saints and a priest from Hanumangadhi Raju Das had raised objections. Now the programme has been restricted till the Naugazi Dargah and cancelled all other events, like Wazu on the banks of Saryu River and recitation of the verses from Quran.
