Calicut: Sheikh Abubaker Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Markazu Ssaquafathi Ssunniyya, declared education inevitable for the multi-facet development and welfare of Muslims. He said the only reason behind the backwardness of Muslims in every field of life is their lack of education. He told this while delivering key-note address at 4-day Ruby World Conference. He asserted that, while the Muslims need to pay attention towards their religious education, they also need to excel in modern education.
Al Sayed Ali Al Hashemi, Advisor to the UAE government also highlighted the importance of education by citing the first revealed ayah of the Quran. Chairman Lulu group Padma Shree Dr. M A Yousuf Ali stressed the need to open educational institutions for Muslims.
The 4-day World Conference will be attended by political, social, educational and economic thinkers of Oman, China, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Cameron, Malaysia, Tunisia, Kuwait, Jordan, UK, UAE, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Australia and other countries.
