Revanth denies plan to join Congress

Contrary to rumours, Telangana TDP working president and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy today denied reports of his joining the Congress party.

Rumours are rife for the last one week in political circles that Revanth Reddy may switch his loyalty to Congress party. Revanth Reddy was addressing his party workers. He asserted that the people are his high command and he will work as per their wishes. He also said he would explain everything to party president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after his arrival from abroad. “Baseless information broadcast by the media and published in newspapers would hurt feelings of party workers”, he said.

After explaining to Chandrababu Naidu, he would go to Kodangal and meet his followers and people, Revanth Reddy said, adding he would take a decision only on the wishes of his constituents and his supporters. “Kodangal is his constituency like Kuppam of Chandrababu Naidu and Puliveudula of YSR family”, he said.
Revanth Reddy alleged that the ruling TRS party was wooing his supporters and followers. “By luring one or two workers or leaders, one cannot say that I have no supporters”, he said. (NSS)
