Revanth entry will add to Cong troubles: Talasani

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today ridiculed the Opposition Congress for its proposal to move a motion of no-confidence against the ruling party in the Assembly. He also speculated that the Congress will see fresh troubles with Revanth Reddy from Telugu Desam party. Internal squabbles will also start in the Congress for posts, he opined.

Interacting with mediapersons at the Assembly lobbies, the minister also faulted Revanth Reddy for not sending his resignation letter to Speaker S Madhusudana Chary. Revanth was pretending and enacting a drama on his resignation, he said. The Congress will now face fresh problems with Revanth’s entry, the minister observed. He also asserted that the Congress will not win the next elections even if AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi camps in Telangana and campaign for his party.

Yadav also ridiculed the comments of Congress leaders that the State government failed in every aspect and has to prove its confidence in the House. “The Congress lacks members adequate to seek the treasury benches to prove confidence”, he said and found fault with the Congress for trying to misguide the people with false campaign to malign the government. “Where is the need for seeking confidence from the ruling party?” he asked. The Congress has no numerical strength to challenge the ruling party and it is of no use, he felt. (NSS)
