Review of Wakf Properties, chairman holds meeting

Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana State Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem held a meeting to review irregularities prevailing in the shops of Nabi Khana Maulvi Akbar and Makkah Madina buildings.

A report has been sought from CEO of Wakf Board about the allotments of 300 shops of Nabi Khana. It is reported that these shops have been allotted to certain persons illegally.

Talking to newsmen on 10th March, Mr. Saleem told that action would be taken against the officials after receiving the report from Inspector Auditor. He mentioned that 25 shops have been allotted to a single person whereas he is in possession of 100 shops. During the inspection of CEO these irregularities were exposed.

Mr. Saleem told that the present rents of the shops would be enhanced. The income accrued through these enhancements would be reserved for providing assistance to the poor to meet medical expenses. He further told that Wakf Board has a proposal to establish a dialysis center. He told that illegal possessions would be dislodged very soon.
