Saudi Arabia: Earthquake hits Medina

Medina: Earthquake hit the holy city of Medina in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

According to the report published in Arab News, Medina witnessed an earthquake of 2.5 magnitude. Fortunately, no causalities took place.

It may be mentioned that the epicenter of the earthquake was 14 km away from Medina and the depth of hypocenter was 7 km.

Spokesman of the Civil Defense, Col. Khaled Al-Johani also confirmed it and said that the information was received at around 3 p.m.

Speaking on the natural calamity, Spokesman for the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection, Mr. Tariq Aba Al-Khail told that the tremor was of low intensity.
