Seven unions of TSRTC serve strike notice

Another seven unions of Telangana State RTC today served strike notice to the Corporation MD Ramana Rao demanding him to solve their problems immediately.

The unions mentioned 42 demands in their notice besides warning the government that they will go on strike at any moment after May 24 if the Corporation failed to solve their problems. The Unions mentioned in the notice as main demands were — the Corporation has to implement the Pay Agreement from 2017 as given assurance to the employees by the state government and increase the employees minimum salary up to Rs.24,000. They also demanded the management of Corporation in their notice that the increment should be six percent on basic in every slab; the state government has to clear the subsidy arrears to be paid to RTC immediately; pay the subsidy amount of various Bus Passes; the state government has to bear the prices of diesel similar to Tamil Nadu state.

It may be mentioned here that already TMU served notice to the RTC management stating that they go on strike at moment after May 21 few days ago while conducting ‘Chalo Bus Bhavan’ program. (NSS)
