Kanpur: Miscreants who were posing as gau rakshaks were chased away by the villages in Kanpur. The video went viral on social media. According to sources, a DCM van loaded with buffaloes was being taken to Unnao. Four persons identified as Ravi Dubey, Vicky Sharma, Diwakar Tiwari and Ashish Pandey intercepted Sonu Gupta and Rajjan Shukla residents of Hathigaon area of Mahrajpur who were transporting buffaloes. They claimed themselves as cow vigilantes and tried to extort money from the traders before thrashing them severely.
The attackers were the residents of Naubasta area of Kanpur.
Angered over severe thrashing of the cattle traders, locals beat the gau rakshaks and chased them away.
