Students of Jamia Millia Islamia take out protest march against Kasganj violence

New Delhi: Students of internationally renowned institution Jamia Millia staged a protest march on Monday against the criminal support given by Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh to the rioters and condemned the saffron hooliganism taken up to the national festivals. Students’ leader Meeran Hyder said Muslims are not allowed to even celebrate the national festival of Republic Day. The saffronists attacked the patriots and also disrespected the national flag. The victims whose houses were looted and burned were booked under National security Act.

Hyder said Chand Kumar was also killed for expressing solidarity with us. He was also the son of a mother. But the question arises whose bullet was it which pierced his body? It should be investigated. We also express solidarity with Mohammed Akram whose eyesight was snatched away.

He revealed that such provocation is also made in the Jamia by ABVP and Yuva students. On January 25, during Tiranga March in Jamia Milia Islamia ABVP workers shouted violent slogans; they wanted to create conflict but we foiled their plans.

Youth leader Imran Chaudhry said ironically the descendants of those who worked as spies for Britishers and sold our country, are seeking the certificate of patriotism from the progeny of those who lost their lives for the country.
