An online petition was started by the student of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), seeking rehabilitation of the BA course and hostels. In the petition, the decision of TISS administration was termed as “arbitrary”.
“The closure of the BA program will be a loss for many and they are being kept in the dark when the administration took the decision,” the students said.
Till Friday evening, the petition received 365 signatures which states, “Even the elected students also was not informed about the decision of the cancellation of the BA program and to make the campus non-residential. This may conclude harder for many to complete their education.” Students have decided to take this matter with the alumni.
