Syed Osman Azhar gets Yudhvir Award – Ms. Kavitha says ‘real service of humanity is to feed the hungry’

Hyderabad: TRS MP of Nizamabad, Ms. K. Kavitha told that the real service of humanity is to feed the hungry. In the entire world, many people sleep without eating anything. She expressed delight that Govt. of Telangana has been helping the hungry.

She was addressing a gathering at KLN Prasad Auditorium of FAPCCI, Red Hills, Hyderabad as chief guest. She presented the award to Mr. Syed Osman Azhar Maqsusi who has been arranging lunch for the hungry at Dabeerpura flyover every day under the auspices of Sani Welfare Society.

Continuing her speech, Ms. Kavitha told that Mr. KCR asked the economists the expenses of feeding a hungry couple twice a day. He was given a suggestion that it costs Rs. 814 per month. Keeping this in mind, Mr. KCR enhanced Old Age Pension from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000 per month. Under this scheme, 40 lakh pensioners are getting benefit and govt. is spending Rs. 5000 cr.

She also mentioned that GHMC has been organizing one time meal for Rs. 5 for the poor at 153 centers in the city.

She applauded the efforts of Mr. Osman Azhar for feeding the hungry. She assured that if such services are extended in other districts of Telangana, Govt. would support.

Paying rich tribute to late Mr. Yudhvir, Editor of Urdu Milap Hyderabad, she said that his father was a freedom fighter. She applauded the efforts of Yudhvir Foundation for helping the youths.

Mr. Narender Luther, Chairman of the foundation in his presidential address thanked the delegates and said that the foundation had earlier given this award to late Mr. Abid Ali Khan, Founder Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, former PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh, former PM, Mr. I.K. Gujral and others.

Mr. Syed Osman Azhar thanked the trustees for giving him this award and said that he dedicates it to his mother and all the compatriots.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and the trustee of Yudhvir Foundation was also present on this occasion.
