Telangana: Rise in dengue cases reported in twin cities

Hyderabad: Increasing Dengue cases from twin cities in Hyderabad are being reported with the city recording maximum dengue cases between the January 1 and February 14.

In just a span of one week, two dengue deaths are recorded in Mahboob Colony, Hyderabad, Hans reported.

According to the statistics from the state’s health department as part of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), as many as 51 cases of dengue are confirmed in Hyderabad while another 154 cases are suspected to be suffering from dengue cases.

Following Hyderabad, Khammam has confirmed 21 cases while Mehboobnagar confirmed 14 dengue cases. The data also reveals 71 cases of dengue are suspected in Khammam whereas 32 cases are suspected in Mehboobnagar district.
