Telangana: Thousands of women participate in rally against “Triple Talaq” bill

Nizamabad: Thousands of Muslim women participated in a protest rally against “Triple Talaq” bill. This rally was taken out in Bodhan town. They demanded that government should not interfere in Islamic Shariat.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, the rally was taken out under the leadership of Ayesha Fatima, wife of Bodhan MLA MD Shakeel. Later, a memorandum was also submitted to the Bodhan Sub-Collector Anuragh Jayanthi.

Talking about the bill, Ms. Fatima said that the Union government is interfering in Muslim Personal Law. She also objected to the introducing of the Bill in the Parliament.

It may be mentioned that earlier, thousands of Muslim women participated in a silent march to protest against Triple Talaq bill in Malegaon.

The participants of the march demanded that the bill be scrapped and that the government should not interfere in the Islamic Shariat.
