Three of Pardhi gang held

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police have busted a Pardhi gang with the arrest of its three members.

The Chevella police, CCS and SOT made a sting operation to unravel the mysteries of two murder for gain cases, apart from one robbery and two cases of snatchings and eight cases of house-breaking in nights.

The Maharashtra Pardhi Gang had entered the Telangana State and reached Vikarabad District for committing thefts. The gang started its operation of committing murder for gain, robberies, house-breaking by nights for the last few years and involved in various cases.

Police arrested three of the 10-member gang and efforts were on to trace other absconding accused. Those arrested belonged to Amaravathi district in Maharashtra. Police recovered gold and silver ornaments and cash of Rs 1,800 and two cell phones, apart from dangerous weapons like two knives, iron rods, used in the commission of offences, were recovered at their instance. The accused were produced before the court for judicial remand. (NSS)
