TRS denies support to no-trust move

TRS MP Jithender Reddy today denied reports that it will support the no-confidence motion being moved by the TDP, YCP in Parliament for special category status (SCSs).

Talking to mediapersons here today, Jithendar Reddy said the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was deceiving the people of two Telugu States. He said the TRS has nothing to do with the no-trust move by the Andhra Pradesh leaders. “We are fighting for quota for STs and Minorities”, he remarked. The Centre, he said, should keep the promises made as per bifurcation Act. The TRS MPs will continue their protests in Parliament until the Centre came up with its stand.

Even for Telangana State, nothing concrete has been done by the Centre so far, he said and demanded that the Centre honour the promises made in the AP Reorganization Act. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be coming up with a federal front to change the national politics for a qualitative change. National politics have been completely changed after Karnataka politics”, he added. (NSS)
