TRS Govt did not fill even 10% of vacant posts: Uttam

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS Government has failed to fill even 10% of total vacancies in various departments.

Speaking after flagging of “Nirudyoga Chaitanya Yatra”, along with AICC Secretary R.C. Khuntia, at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said there were 1.07 lakh vacancies at the time of formation of Telangana. Nearly 60-70,000 employees have retired in the last the three-and-a-half years. Therefore, there are nearly two lakh vacancies in various government departments and corporations. However, he said that the TRS Government filled only 7,000 posts through State Public Service Commission which is less than 10% of total vacancies.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Telangana became a reality due to the struggle and sacrifices of students and youth. However, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has been misleading the jobless youth on filling up of vacancies and creation of new jobs. He alleged that nearly 5,000 factories have closed during the last four years which made thousands of people jobless.

The TPCC chief alleged that Minister K. Tarakarama Rao was wasting public money on his foreign tours. While KTR is posing for pictures in “suit-boot”, his foreign tours did not benefit the Telangana State in any manner.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also slammed the TRS Government for not filling the vacant posts of teachers. He claimed that the previous Congress Government had appointed nearly 12,000 teachers. However, he said that the KCR Government has failed to appoint a single teacher in its regime. He said not a single DSC was conducted since the formation of Telangana.

Stating that the Congress party was all set to come to power in 2019 elections, Uttam Kumar Reddy promised that the next Congress Government would fill all vacancies and create lakhs of new jobs in both public and private sectors. He said that the next Congress Government would give unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000 per month to all unemployed youth.

AICC Secretary R.C. Khuntia, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Telangana Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav, ex-MP M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, GHCC Minorities Department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.

The “Nirudyoga Chaitanya Yatra” will cover all 119 Assembly segments in the next 45 days. Uttam Kumar Reddy advised Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav to conduct meetings in all assembly segments. (NSS)
