The TRS, which has been fighting with the Centre for quota hike for STs and Minorities and other issues of Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a surprising decision to vote against the BJP-led NDA Government in the event of YSRCP’s appeal for support for its no-confidence motion in Parliament during budget session.

Interestingly, the ruling TD, with no other go, have to extend support to the Opposition for Special Category Status (SCS). With this, the TRS has joined hands with both the Opposition YSRCP and the ruling TD party in the Andhra Pradesh for SCS. The YSRCP has made an appeal to Lok Sabha Speaker in this regard and Sumitra Mahajan acknowledged the same while adjourning the House on Friday to next Monday.

Addressing the media at TRSLP office here, MLC and TRS spokesperson Karne Prabhakar said the TRS MPs will vote against the Centre and support the YSRCP with regard to no-trust motion. “We have plans to oppose the NDA Government as the special category status was justified for Andhra Pradesh State. The Centre, he said, is ought to keep its promises of AP Reorganization Act and SCS is need of the hour for the State to develop. Prabhakar asserted that the Centre should respect the sentiments of the people of the AP State. (NSS)
