Trump travel ban: protesters demonstrate against SC’s ruling

New York: Protesters in New York City demonstrated against the Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold President Trump’s travel ban and his administration’s immigration policies. At Foley Square, the protesters chanted “shame” as a speaker mentioned the President, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, White House chief of staff John Kelly and the Supreme Court by name.

It must be noted that the Supreme Court upheld President Donald Trump’s travel ban, which restricts entry from Iran, North Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Venezuela.

The American Civil Liberties Union and Democratic lawmakers also strongly denounced the court’s ruling. However, Trump called the ruling “a tremendous victory for the American People and the Constitution” and said he felt vindicated.
