TS Govt. fails to develop Hyderabad on par with Constantinople

Hyderabad: What happened to the promise of developing Hyderabad on the lines of Constantinople of Turkey? Did Govt. constitute any committee for it? Did TS Govt. take any action to make payments to the contractors of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority?

These are the questions which remain to be answered. All the developmental works which are being taken up are by the GHMC.

TS Govt. constituted Musi River Development Corporation but no budget was allotted.

It may be mentioned that by mere announcements and planning, no developmental work could be done. Govt. had organized a meeting with the German Experts for developing the road from Moazzam Jahi Market to Charminar. It was claimed that tourists will get easy approach on this route and it was also claimed that this plan will be on the lines of the trams which run in London and Constantinople.

If a review of all the promises made by TRS before the election, it will be known that no developmental work was taken up for beautifying the city of Hyderabad.

The officials opine that it is necessary to coordinate the functioning of GHMC, HMDA, Musi Development Corporation and other agencies in order to translate the plans from paper to action.
