TS growth is real tribute to Jayashankar: KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on August 6 paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue late Prof. Jayashankar to mark his birth anniversary. The TRS leadership conducted Jayashankar Jayanthi across Telangana districts.

Participating in a program at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi, the Chief Minister offered floral tributes to Prof. Jayashankar along with MPs. KCR recalled the services rendered by the professor. He said Jayashankar spread inspiration for fighting for the statehood across the region. KCR also said that the professor had made strong and persistent efforts for statehood for Telangana that helped other leaders to vouch for.

After formation of the State, the government was following his ideals to achieve growth and development, he said. Growth and progress being achieved in the new State is a real tribute and give peace to Prof. Jayashankar’s soul, the Chief Minister noted.

MP Kavitha said Jayashankar has shown path for the new State and the government was making all efforts to achieve his ideals. She recalled Professor’s plan and ideology for achieving the statehood and came up with written material on how injustice was meted out to Telangana region since 1952. A blue print prepared by Prof. Jayashankar and K Chandrashekhar Rao was now being implemented for the State’s all-round development and welfare, Kavith said. Prof. Jayashankar’s life is an inspiration to many and the State was witnessing rapid growth in all sectors now.

MPs B Vinod Kumar, K Prabhakar Reddy, Government representative in Delhi S Venugopala Chary and others were present. The Telangana Jagruthi activists also conducted Jayashankar jayanthi in all the 31 districts and offered floral tributes.(NSS)
