Udaipur boy topped JEE Mains 2017 with 100 pct marks

Kota: Rajasthan’s Kalpit Veerwal got 100 percent marks in JEE Mains 2017, with a score of 360/360. The result being announced on Thursday, he told a little confidence and regular classes made him reach his goal.

The chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), RK Chaturvedi, called him on Thursday to give him the news, as reported by TOI.

“It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains but I am taking it normally and focussing on JEE Advanced, which would be held next month,” Kalpit said.

His 12th class result is not yet declared and he is waiting for it. “I used to study for around 5-6 hours daily apart from coaching classes and classes in school,” he stated.

He told that his family, teachers and Kota based Resonance Eduventure Private Limited’s Udaipur branch helped him to accomplish the result.

When he was enquired about smartphones and social media sites during his studies, he replied: “I made smart use of smartphones and did not remain on social media sites but used the internet for gathering information related to studies.”

The managing director of his coaching classes, R K Verma expressed pleasure and said “Kalpit has made the institute and state proud by being a topper in JEE Mains 2017. It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction and happiness for the institute.”

Kota has been a pivotal learning place when talked about coachings. In 2016 entrance exam, first three rank holders of JEE and AIRs were also from a Kota-based city’s Allen Career’s institute.
