Uma ready to join TRS if offer comes

Stating that the TDP chapter in Telangana was closed, former minister Uma Madhava Reddy today questioned journalists how she could join the Congress as nobody consulted her.

In an informal chat with journalists in the Telangana Assembly lobbies on Friday, Uma Madhava Reddy said Revanth Reddy might have got a clear assurance from the Congress. “I would have caught the flight had I got clear assurance. Earlier TRS leaders invited me to join TRS. I will think if the offer came again”, she said. She also informed that she met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with party MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah today with regard to house-sites to be given to the victims of Naxals attacks.

It may be mentioned here that rumors were afloat since several days that she was leaving the TDP and joining the Congress party. Political observers thought she would join Congress party along with Revanth Reddy. Today she cleared the doubts on her party shifting. (NSS)
