Unauthorized shelter demolished after court orders

New Delhi: A petition of illegal unauthorized construction inside the historic Amir Khusro Park in South Delhi was removed by authorities as was reported to Delhi High Court.

The petition was filed by NGO in the Delhi High Court against night shelter inside the historic park, where a bench compromising of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V K Rao held the unauthorized construction has been demolished and no further orders are required to be passed in the case.

The bench also said that if a party has any issue, dispute or claim against any third party, it can work out its remedy in accordance with law, TOI reported.

The bench said, “In view of our order, that the demolition having been effected, no orders are required to be passed in the writ petition, these applications are closed.”

The bench had earlier directed the authorities to demolish the illegal construction inside the historic park and restore it to its original position.
