New Delhi: BJP leaders, including many senior Union Ministers, on Sunday took sip of tea in all the 182 constituencies of poll-bound Gujarat as they listened Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ with party chief Amit Shah taking part in a event in an Ahmedabad assembly segment.
Other leaders such as General Secretary Ramlal heard Modi’s radio address at Ellis Bridge in Dariyapur constituency while Union Minister Piyush Goyal was there at the event in Porbandar.
“Union Minister Uma Bharti heard Maan Ki Baat in Akota assembly constituency, actor turned politician Paresh Rawal in Rajkot West, Delhi BJP president and Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari in Surat and state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani heard it in Morva Hadaf,” said party sources.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley joined the programme late in Sabarmati as his flight got delayed, and also addressed a rally later.
Shah, who heard the Mann ki Baat at near Tamboo Chowki in Ahmedabad, later tweeted: “Today I heard the Maan Ki Baat at Dariyapur constituency’s booth number 98 along with party workers”.
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani also heard the programme at Junagadh.
BJP state President Jeetu Vaghani heard ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Bhavnagar while central leader V. Satish was in Asarwa.
Gujarat goes to election on December 9 and 14.
