VH shocked over Mayor’s absence at PM’s welcome

Stating that as per tradition Mayor, the first citizen of the City, should welcome the Prime Minister, AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao expressed surprise over the absence of the first citizen this time.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, VH found fault with the Prime Minister, who remembered Sardar Patel, for not remembering Mahatma Jyothirao Phule in his speech. “It is nothing but insulting BCs. The BCs would not forget this insult in the next elections and will teach a fitting lesson”, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao too forgot Jyothirao Phule and didn’t give a single advertisement on the occasion of Phule’s birth anniversary.

Questioning IT Minister KT Ramarao in what capacity he sat beside the Prime Minister, VH pointed out that KTR was speaking on women empowerment though there was not a single woman in the State Cabinet. Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao stayed away from Metro Rail inauguration and GES-2017 as Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was giving top priority to his son KTR, VH alleged. (NSS)
