Varanasi: Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi accepted a shawl from an man in Sonarpura, a Muslim dominated area of Vanarasi Lok Sabha Constituency.
In the video which went viral on social media, the man can be seen waving the shawl as he wanted to gift it to Mr. Modi. In order to accept it, Mr. Modi stopped his cavalcade. Soon, one of his security guards approached the man and asked him to toss it.
When Mr. Modi received the shawl, he wore it.

It may be mentioned that Mr. Modi filed nomination paper in Varanasi for the Lok Sabha election.
Mr. Modi is seeking a second term in office from Varanasi. In 2014, he had defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.
