Videos of Shambhulal, accused in Afrazul’s killing released; abuses Muslims

Jodhpur: Two more videos of Shambhulal who is in jail after brutally killing Mohammed Afrazul Islam of Rajsamand and then setting the body afire, have come to light. In one of the videos, Shambhulal is making highly provocative remarks, while in another he is claiming a threat to his life. Shambhulal is in jail since December, while the videos have been released on Monday and were being widely circulated on social media.

In the video, he continues his rant against Muslims and made harsh attacks on jihadis. In the video, he is seen wearing the cap and is reading a long statement. He is appealing Hindus to become united against the jihadis. In another video, he claims a threat to his life. He doesn’t regret on his crime. He says he can’t tolerate that Hindu women are at risk. He says he has ruined his own life, for which he has no regrets. He says what he is sorry about is that media has mentioned about his physical relationship as the cause of Afrazul’s death.

Meanwhile, state minister Gulab Singh Kataria has ordered an inquiry into how a mobile phone made its way into a prison cell and other lapses. An FIR has been registered in this connection and police have begun searching for the mobile phone. Shambhulal told the police that the phone is not his. According to sources mobile phones are working on 2G in the jail. Asaram is also imprisoned in the same jail. Claiming life threat Shambhulal, father of 3 children, has expressed doubt that a person from West Bengal could kill him.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot said the videos are a breach of prison security and show the connivance between the people responsible for providing security and criminals. He demanded a high-level enquiry into the incident.
