Hyderabad: Rumors are making rounds that Mr. KCR has instructed the officials to reserve the post of GHMC Mayor for BC (General) category so that it could be offered to Ms. G. Vijay Lakshmi, daughter of Dr. Keshav Rao, General Secretary of TRS. Party sources, however, contradicted this rumor. Ms. Vijay Lakshmi has come back recently from America. She has been given green signal for contesting Mayor’s post. She has to get herself elected as corporator from any Municipal Division.
It is understood that Mr. Sai, son of Commercial Taxes Minister, Mr. Srinivas Yadav and Mr. Kiran, son of Excise Minister, Mr. P. Padma Rao are also in the field. Party sources indicated that as a coalition of TRS and MIM if Majlis emerges as the largest party, it could also claim Mayor’s post.
