A man allegedly threw his 18-month daughter, Kavya, from the terrace of his home in a village in Uttar Pradesh after his wife gave birth to another girl, the infant was seriously injured after falling from the height.
The infant was admitted in the hospital, neighbours said that there was tension in the house since his wife gave birth to their second daughter last week.
Arvind took his daughter to the terrace and threw her off who was drunk at the time, police have now arrested him and a case has been filed of an attempt to murder after the family did not turn up for it, said SP (City), Abhimanyu Singh.
