Chennai: A 68-year-old elderly woman was killed after her two pet dogs attacked her in her residence in Avadi.
According to the police, M. Gowri was staying with her husband, Madhavan on the ground floor and her son, daughter-in-law stayed on the first floor, reported Deccan Chronicle.
The two family pets of Rottweiler breed were not friendly with the aged couple and were kept on the first floor or on the terrace.
Unaware of the two pups’ presence, when Gowri went to the terrace On Wednesday evening, she was mauled by them. As she was suffering from a mental condition, she could not raise an alarm, police said quoting her son.
She was declared dead when shifted to a hospital. Avadi police lodged a case and are investigating the matter.
