New Delhi: Vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Prof. Najma Akhtar told that a team of National Human Right Commission will visit the University on 14th January.
The team will record the statements. It will also contact the eye-witnesses and take their statements.
It may be mentioned that the violent incidents which occurred on the campus of the university attracted the attention of the entire country. Students of various universities and the members of civil society condemned the atrocities meted out to the peaceful students by the Delhi police.
On the 15th December, violence had broken when the students of the university had protested against CAA, NRC and NPR. Police had allegedly barged into library and hostels and physically assaulted the peaceful students injuring many of them.
